Gimme 7
Support
This page covers what we are asked most about Gimme 7. If none of it helps, write to us and we will take a look.
Contact us
Email support@gimme7.app, in English or in French.
To save a round trip, please tell us:
- the app version (shown in the app's Settings screen)
- your device and its operating system version, for example iPhone 14, iOS 18.4
- the language you were playing in
- what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead
Common problems
- No categories or no questions appear
- The app downloads its questions the first time you open it, and retries on its own if the first try does not land. Check that you have a working connection, then close the app fully and open it again. Once the questions have been downloaded they are stored on the device and the game works offline.
- The questions are in the wrong language
- The app supports English and French, and follows your device language until you tell it otherwise. Change it in the Settings screen and the choice sticks, including on the next launch and even when it differs from your device.
- New questions have not shown up
- The app checks for new questions each time it starts. Open it with a working connection and it will pick up anything new by itself.
- There is no sound, or no vibration
- Check your device volume and its silent or mute switch, then check the Sound and Vibration toggles in the Settings screen. Vibration depends on what your device supports.
- A game disappeared when I left the app
- Games only last as long as the app is running: players, rounds and scores live in memory and are never saved. Closing the app, or letting the system shut it down, ends the game. Play a game in one sitting, and read the final scores off the leaderboard before you leave.
- I want to remove the player names the app suggests
- The app remembers the names you used most recently so you can tap them back in. Delete them one by one where the app offers them during setup. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in your system settings, removes all of them at once.
Report an incorrect question
Mistakes get through. Send corrections to support@gimme7.app with “Wrong question” in the subject line.
Include as much of this as you can:
- the exact wording of the question, copied or photographed
- its category and the language you were playing in
- what is wrong: a false answer, a missing obvious answer, a typo, bad wording, or a question that cannot really be answered
- the correct answer, and a source for it if you have one
Deleting your data
There are no accounts, so there is no account to delete and no request to send us. The only personal information involved is the player names you type, and they never leave your device.
- Delete saved player names one by one in the app, during game setup.
- Uninstall the app, or clear its storage in your system settings, to remove everything it has stored: saved names, your settings and the downloaded questions.
Anything else about privacy, including data protection requests, goes to privacy@gimme7.app. The privacy policy has the details.
